Chicago Blackhawks forward Frank Nazar has received a two-game suspension from the NHL Department of Player Safety. The disciplinary ruling followed an illegal check to the head of New York Islanders forward Bo Horvat during a game at UBS Arena, which resulted in a five-minute major and a game misconduct for Nazar.
The ban marks the first suspension of Nazar's NHL career. As a result, he will miss Chicago's upcoming matchups against the Carolina Hurricanes and the Pittsburgh Penguins, becoming eligible to return on October 15 against the Winnipeg Jets.
