Mikel Arteta remains optimistic about Arsenal's set-piece routines despite the club failing to score from a corner or free-kick across their opening eight matches in all competitions this season. The manager argued that his squad has executed set pieces better than last season, pointing to bad luck as the reason behind the current goal drought.
Arteta believes that maintaining their current quality and frequency of set-piece situations will eventually lead to strong goal numbers throughout the campaign. Arsenal previously scored 15 of their 16 goals from open play ahead of their upcoming match against Leeds United.
