The Chicago Bears received unfortunate news on Friday as legendary player and head coach Mike Ditka passed away. The NFL announced it on social media, with many former and current players reposting it, including Caleb Williams.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams shared the NFL's announcement of the death of Hall of Fame tight end and former head coach Mike Ditka on Friday. Williams reposted the league's tribute graphic to his Instagram story without adding a caption. Ditka, who played for the Bears from 1961 to 1966 and coached the franchise from 1982 to 1992, led Chicago to a Super Bowl victory following the 1985 season.
Williams remains sidelined with a hamstring injury suffered in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings. The Bears prepare to face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, having won consecutive games in Williams's absence behind backup quarterback Tyson Bagent.
