Hudson Butcher stood in his bedroom, phone in hand, and gave the Utah Jazz the pep talk of the year. “Let’s win an NBA Finals! Come on!” the 8-year-old yelled, pointing at the camera, calling out Darryn Peterson by name…

Eight-year-old Utah Jazz fan Hudson Butcher received a major surprise when the team invited him to their open practice after his passionate bedroom pep-talk video went viral. During the event, Keyonte George carried Hudson around the court, the entire team lifted him into the air, and players including Lauri Markkanen and Ace Bailey greeted the young fan.
The viral moment also led to Mo Bamba gifting Hudson collectible trading cards and an appearance on ESPN's NBA Today. Hudson, who plays in the Jazz Bantam youth basketball program, described the open practice experience as the best day of his life.
