More than two dozen employees were let go by the Orioles in layoffs.

The Baltimore Orioles have laid off dozens of business operations employees, including the individuals who portrayed mascots The Oriole Bird and Mr. Splash. The job cuts impacted multiple departments ranging from ticket sales to graphic design, with one source describing the situation as a "bloodbath."
Despite the departure of the performer behind Mr. Splash, the team plans to continue operating its popular Bird Bath section in left field. In an internal memo, president of business operations Catie Griggs stated the moves were aimed at reshaping roles rather than simply reducing headcount.
