Blues close to full strength as Premier League football returns
Chelsea snapped a three-match winless streak in the Premier League with an emphatic 5-1 home victory over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge. Jordan Henderson and Joao Pedro each scored two goals, while Morgan Rogers also found the net to relieve pressure on manager Xabi Alonso. The Cherries replied through Evanilson, but they remain winless in their last six league fixtures under manager Marco Rose.
The Blues seized control immediately, jumping to a 2-0 lead within three minutes courtesy of Henderson and Rogers. After Joao Pedro made it 3-0 early in the second half, Evanilson reduced the deficit before Joao Pedro and Henderson sealed the 5-1 rout.
