Roman Kantserov scored his first career NHL goal, but his Chicago Blackhawks were blown out at home by the Carolina Hurricanes.

Roman Kantserov scored his first career NHL goal on a breakaway, but the Chicago Blackhawks suffered a 5-2 blowout loss at home against the Carolina Hurricanes. Chicago fell behind 3-0 early in the second period before Kantserov got the Blackhawks on the board. Carolina quickly responded with a goal from former Blackhawk Taylor Hall, later extending their lead to 5-1 before Oliver Moore scored a late consolation goal.
The Hurricanes heavily dominated the game, outshooting Chicago 39-26 over 60 minutes. The Blackhawks played without key forwards Connor Bedard and Frank Nazar in the lineup. Following the defeat, head coach Jeff Blashill's squad continues their home stretch against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday night.
