The Green Bay Packers have placed running back Chris Brooks on injured reserve due to an ankle injury. The move sidelines the 26-year-old for at least the next four games, dealing another blow to the team's backfield depth. While not heavily featured as a runner or receiver, Brooks earned a 40% offensive snap share primarily for pass protection duties alongside special teams contributions.
Green Bay remains without starter Josh Jacobs, who is on the commissioner's exempt list. With Brooks unavailable, the Packers will rely on MarShawn Lloyd, trade acquisition Kaleb Johnson, and recent practice squad promotion Pierre Strong to support an offense averaging an NFL-low 58 rushing yards per game.
