Sunday's 2026 F1 Singapore Grand Prix is set to take place in unhealthy air as a smoke haze continues to hang over the city.

Formula 1 drivers face unhealthy air quality at the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix after smoke haze from fires in Indonesia caused pollution levels to spike. On race morning, Central Singapore recorded a Pollutant Standard Index reading of 154, placing it into the unhealthy range ahead of the 62-lap event.
Singapore's Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Grace Fu, warned that readings could exceed 200 into the very unhealthy range. The government has mobilized a task force to distribute N95 masks and open air-conditioned shelters, adding to driver challenges alongside cockpit temperatures expected to reach 60C.
