Josh Hart expressed a relaxed mindset regarding his contract situation after the New York Knicks announced they are pausing extension discussions with eligible players until later in the season. Despite previously noting that unresolved contract talks can wear players down, Hart stated he is not overly stressed, citing the team's strong roster and championship aspirations as reasons to stay focused purely on basketball.
Hart is earning approximately $20.9 million this season, with the Knicks holding a $22.4 million team option for 2027-28. He is reportedly willing to accept significantly less than his eligible four-year, $132 million maximum extension to help the franchise keep its core roster intact.
