The New York Jets have activated veteran wide receiver Tim Patrick from injured reserve, the team announced on Saturday. Patrick had missed at least four games due to a groin injury before returning to practice earlier this week. The 32-year-old, who signed a one-year, $2 million contract in free agency, is now eligible to play immediately for the 1-3 Jets.
Patrick's return provides help for an offense missing Adonai Mitchell and rookie Omar Cooper Jr. In a corresponding roster transaction, New York waived undrafted rookie wide receiver Jamaal Pritchett, who could potentially re-sign with the practice squad if he clears waivers. The Jets also elevated linebacker Jaden Keller from the practice squad for Week 5.
