Mitch Marner scored a power-play goal 2:40 into overtime to lift the Vegas Golden Knights to a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. Trevor Connelly also scored for Vegas, while Artemi Panarin provided the lone goal for the Kings. Goaltender Carter Hart stopped 26 shots to help the Golden Knights secure their fourth consecutive win.
The game coincided with Vegas celebrating the ninth anniversary of its first home game during the franchise's 10th season. Vegas head coach Ryan Craig called a crucial timeout ahead of the decisive four-on-three power play, where Mark Stone screened Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper to set up Marner's winner.
