Heavyweight prospect Joshua "Rocket" Edwards improved to 8-0 with seven knockouts on Saturday night at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Edwards, a 2024 US Olympian trained by Ronnie Shields, earned the victory after opponent Craig Lewis failed to answer the bell for the third round.
The card featured multiple other bouts, highlighted by Sergio Mendoza stopping Ricardo Sandoval in the fifth round to win the WBA and WBC flyweight championships. Additional victories on the DAZN-broadcast card included stoppage wins for Olympian Jahmal Harvey, Tristan Kalkreuth, and Grant Flores.
