Losing Kyle Monangai hurts the Chicago Bears at running back. He is a vital part of the machine head coach Ben Johnson has created alongside D’Andre Swift. Unfortunately, turf toe has sidelined him from the big game at Lambeau Field…

The Chicago Bears have elevated second-year running back Zavier Scott from the practice squad ahead of their game against the Green Bay Packers. The roster move comes after rookie running back Kyle Monangai was sidelined due to turf toe. While preseason standout Salvon Ahmed was viewed by many as the expected choice, head coach Ben Johnson selected Scott instead.
Erik Lambert reports that Scott's versatility as an outside-zone runner, pass catcher, and special teams contributor gave him the edge. Scott previously rushed for 114 yards with Minnesota last season. Primary rusher D'Andre Swift is anticipated to take on a heavier workload alongside backup Roschon Johnson at Lambeau Field.
