Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur has gone from bad to worse as they set another unwanted record, it has emerged.

Manchester United set an unwanted Premier League record following a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday. According to OptaJoe, United became the first team since West Brom in December 2017 to play consecutive matches against clubs starting the day bottom of the table and fail to win both, having previously drawn 1-1 with Fulham. Bryan Mbeumo scored for United in the 73rd minute before Tottenham's Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off, but Dominic Solanke leveled the match in stoppage time.
The result leaves Michael Carrick's side with just six points from their opening six league fixtures, marking the club's worst start to a season in 40 years. Carrick acknowledged the difficult stretch ahead as United prepare for upcoming matches against Atletico Madrid, Leeds United, and Como. The report notes that Carrick currently retains the backing of the club's hierarchy despite the poor run of form.
