What if one of the biggest accusations in NASCAR history still has not produced the evidence everyone expected? That is the question Jeff Dickerson is now raising as the legal battle between Joe Gibbs Racing and Hendrick Motorsports continues to…
Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson criticized Joe Gibbs Racing's ongoing lawsuit, calling the sweeping allegations of corporate espionage the biggest conspiracy in NASCAR history. Speaking on the Door Bumper Clear podcast, Dickerson questioned the lack of evidence despite more than 80 third-party subpoenas issued during the legal battle. The lawsuit stems from JGR's claims that former competition director Chris Gabehart improperly took proprietary technical data to Spire Motorsports.
Dickerson defended his organization's technical alliance with Hendrick Motorsports, explaining that Spire relies on Hendrick's existing technical resources rather than JGR's intellectual property. Hendrick Motorsports previously intervened at an October 1 hearing to protect its confidential information, while other organizations like General Motors and Trackhouse Racing have also been swept into discovery. Dickerson maintained Spire did nothing wrong as the case approaches a February 1, 2027 trial date.
