William Nylander went off for two goals and three assists, Auston Matthews added four points of his own, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves on the night as the Toronto Maple Leafs sealed a 6-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche.
Following their Game 7 ALCS elimination by the Toronto Blue Jays, the Seattle Mariners are preparing for significant offseason roster decisions. Manager Dan Wilson and president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto addressed the team's future after Seattle fell just short of its first World Series appearance, despite winning their first AL West title since 2001.
Key impending free agents include midseason trade acquisitions Josh Naylor and Eugenio Suárez, with Dipoto stating that re-signing Naylor is a top priority. Additionally, second baseman Jorge Polanco holds a $6 million player option, while core stars Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodríguez remain under long-term contracts through the decade.
