Liverpool need a solid presence in front of the back four with one Spain international now on the radar
Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola is reportedly targeting Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal for a potential permanent transfer in the January window. According to a report from Fichajes, Iraola is driving the club's interest in the 19-year-old Spain international to reinforce the midfield following multiple summer departures.
Bernal possesses a reported €500m release clause in his Barcelona contract, which currently runs until June 2029. While Liverpool and sporting director Julian Ward are monitoring the midfielder, any potential deal remains speculative amid separate reports pointing to an agreement in principle for Bernal to extend his stay at Barcelona.
