The Story in 60 Seconds

The Los Angeles Rams are unlikely to open the 21-day practice window for pass rusher Myles Garrett in Week 6. Although Garrett is eligible to return after sitting out four straight games on injured reserve, head coach Sean McVay stated that the team does not expect to start his clock just yet. Garrett is continuing his recovery following arthroscopic knee surgery.

McVay noted that while Garrett is making progress, his status remains week to week. Once a player's practice window opens, the team has 21 days to activate him or lose him for the season. Reports from late September indicated Garrett could remain sidelined until Week 9.
