Brice Turang homered off Tarik Skubal and Milwaukee's bullpen shut down the Los Angeles Dodgers after Jacob Misiorowski's taxing outing, sending the Brewers to a 2-1 victory in the NL Championship Series opener on Sunday night at American Family Field.

The Milwaukee Brewers edged the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 in Game 1 on Sunday, snapping a seven-game postseason skid against Los Angeles. Brice Turang tied the game with an opposite-field solo home run in the fourth inning off Dodgers ace Tarik Skubal. In the fifth inning, rookie Luis Lara provided the decisive blow with an RBI single up the middle to score Garrett Mitchell.
Milwaukee starter Jacob Misiorowski and four relievers limited the defending champions to just an Andy Pages RBI single in the second inning. Neither starting pitcher completed the sixth inning, leaving the two bullpens to combine for 7 2/3 scoreless frames as Milwaukee preserved the one-run lead.
