The Denver Nuggets logged a solid performance on Sunday night to secure a 133-128 victory over the Chicago Bulls. With their second consecutive win of the preseason, the Nuggets appear to have overcome their poor display in their first game…
Denver Nuggets head coach David Adelman strongly criticized his team's transition defense following a 133-128 preseason win against the Chicago Bulls. Despite winning their second straight preseason game, Adelman described Denver's defensive effort—particularly in the first half—as embarrassing. He noted that starters played extra minutes because their lack of hustle running back on defense required additional conditioning work.
Denver excelled offensively, led by Aaron Gordon's 25 points and Nikola Jokic's triple-double of 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in 26 minutes. However, Chicago took advantage of Denver's lapses to score 16 fast-break points, including 14 off turnovers, prompting Adelman to warn that such habits could jeopardize the team's long-term success.
