The Story in 60 Seconds

Interim Munster CEO Avan Lee has revealed he approached former flanker Peter O’Mahony regarding a potential return to the province in a new role. Lee, who succeeds Ian Flanagan on a temporary basis at the end of October, confirmed he reached out to both O'Mahony and Donncha O'Callaghan to connect with club legends despite recent public criticisms.

O'Mahony had previously advised Ronan O'Gara and Paul O'Connell against taking Munster's head coach role.
