It could be a magical race in the States for Antonelli.

Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli can secure the 2026 Formula 1 Drivers' Championship at the United States Grand Prix in Austin on October 25. The 20-year-old holds a 102-point lead over teammate George Russell following the Singapore Grand Prix. To clinch his first world title with five races to spare, Antonelli must fulfill specific mathematical conditions regarding his own result and those of his closest rivals.
To seal the championship in Texas, Antonelli must win the race, while Russell finishes ninth or lower and Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton finishes fifth or lower. A victory would eliminate Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and Lando Norris from contention. Securing the title in Austin would make Antonelli the youngest world champion in Formula 1 history, surpassing Sebastian Vettel's record.
