In the biggest game of the year so far, the 49ers’ defense, stacked with young players in every area, produced its best performance of the season as San Francisco improved to 5-0. A unit that has been so often maligned…

The San Francisco 49ers improved to 5-0 following a 32-29 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, driven by an impactful showing from their youthful defense. Playing without injured star pass rusher Nick Bosa and losing linebacker Dre Greenlaw to a second-quarter ejection, coordinator Raheem Morris's unit forced four turnovers and recorded five sacks against Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold.
Young contributors played pivotal roles, with rookie Gracen Halton returning a fumble for a touchdown and rookie Jaden Dugger registering nine tackles and a sack. Third-year cornerback Renardo Green also secured two interceptions as head coach Kyle Shanahan and veteran teammates praised the defense's execution and depth.
