Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis stated that the club has brought millions of children back to supporting Napoli from rival teams. Speaking in Rome after receiving CONI's highest honor, the Collare d'Oro al Merito Sportivo, De Laurentiis highlighted the club's resurgence and connection with younger generations.
The award commemorates over two decades of progress under De Laurentiis, who rebuilt Napoli from Serie C following bankruptcy in 2004 to Scudetto titles in 2023 and 2025. De Laurentiis also announced a centenary film currently in post-production and defended current manager Massimiliano Allegri.
