Serie A success story Como have gone from Serie D to the Champions League - now they have taught Manchester United a lesson in Europe.

Cesc Fabregas' Como secured an emphatic 4-1 Champions League victory over Manchester United at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium on Wednesday. Midfielder Nico Paz led the Italian side, scoring twice and providing an assist against the English club. The result marked Como's most high-profile victory since their climb from Serie D and left Manchester United winless in seven matches across all competitions.
Como qualified for the Champions League after Fabregas guided the squad to fourth place in Serie A in 2025-26. Owned by Indonesian billionaires Robert Budi Hartono and Michael Bambang Hartono through Sent Entertainment since 2019, the club has advanced from lower-tier semi-professional leagues to elite European competition in just a few seasons.
