The Pakistan federal government has declared a state of emergency and imposed governor's rule in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where the two cities are located

The Pakistan Cricket Board has shifted the ongoing first-class President's Trophy Grade 1 fixtures out of Peshawar and Abbottabad. This decision follows the Pakistan federal government's declaration of a state of emergency and imposition of governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province due to political turmoil. Matches initially set for Peshawar's Imran Khan Stadium and Abbottabad Cricket Stadium will now be played at Rana Naveed Academy in Sheikhupura and the LCCA Ground in Lahore.
Fixtures in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will proceed as scheduled, while the relocated sixth-round games will begin on October 14. Additionally, the final round of league-stage matches has been pushed back by one day to October 19. State Bank of Pakistan currently leads the eight-team tournament standings with 84 points, followed by Ghani on 70 points, as teams compete for the top two spots to reach the final.
