Jeff Wilson believes the Wallabies had a “false sense of security” after beating a much-changed Springbok side and were no match for the All Blacks in the Bledisloe Cup opener.

Former All Black Jeff Wilson believes Australia had a false sense of security before their Bledisloe Cup clash after beating a heavily rotated Springboks lineup. New Zealand defeated the Wallabies 50-19 at Eden Park, extending their unbeaten venue streak to 53 matches.
Wilson explained that the All Blacks were battle-hardened from three straight Tests against South Africa, whereas Australia faced a Bok side with 13 changes. He stated that the Wallabies were unprepared for New Zealand's physicality.
