The Magpies slipped to 11th in the Premier League table as they suffered their second defeat of the season, with Frank Lampard's side picking up their second win in as many games.

Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle criticized his team's lack of hunger and desire to score following a 4-1 Premier League defeat away to Coventry. The loss dropped Newcastle to 11th in the table, with Frank Lampard's Coventry side securing their second consecutive league victory.
Coventry opened the scoring through a Jack Rudoni penalty before Sidiki Cherif doubled their lead, ultimately adding two more goals late in the match. Newcastle's lone goal came from defender Sven Botman, while attacker Matias Fernandez-Pardo missed a key first-half chance.
