Green revealed he worked with Steve Nash over the offseason and stated that he feels comfortable initiating the offense and creating opportunities for his teammates alongside Devin Booker.
Writer Luke Duffy argues that Green serving as a floor general is vital to unlocking the team's offense and relieving ball-handling duties from Booker. Duffy notes that Phoenix also retains point guards Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin to allow Green opportunities to focus purely on scoring.
