Cardinals Head Coach Provides Carson Beck Update Following Blowout Loss to Lions

Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur revealed that the team has not yet discussed activating rookie quarterback Carson Beck for Sunday's game. Beck has served as the team's emergency third quarterback behind Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew II. LaFleur noted that internal staff discussions regarding Beck's status would take place following the team's 45-21 blowout loss to the Detroit Lions.

Writer Michael McDermott argues that with Arizona falling to 1-4, it is becoming a matter of when rather than if the Cardinals turn to Beck. McDermott highlights that broader offensive struggles, including poor pass protection and receiver separation, could potentially set the rookie up to fail.
