The Senators improve to 5-1, defeating the New Jersey Devils 4-1 on Monday night.

Goaltender Linus Ullmark improved his personal record to 5-0 on Monday night, making 29 saves as the Ottawa Senators defeated the New Jersey Devils 4-1 at Prudential Center. Shane Pinto and Stephen Halliday each scored in the second period, while Tim Stützle added a goal and an assist to extend Ottawa's strong start to the season.
Tyler Kleven sealed the victory with an empty-net goal after Arseny Gritsyuk broke Ullmark's shutout bid late in the third period. The victory was marred by an injury to Senators defenceman Nikolas Matinpalo, who left the game in the first period following a hit from behind by New Jersey's Anthony Mantha.
