Rangers may be braced for offers after Olwethu Makhanya's early Ibrox success. The centre-back completed a £3million move to the Gers from MLS side Philadelphia
Rangers defender Olwethu Makhanya is drawing widespread transfer interest and has been backed to potentially generate a £27 million profit if sold for £30 million. Premier League sides Brentford and Sunderland reportedly sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old during Rangers' 3-1 win over Kilmarnock, while Sevilla and Bologna are also monitoring his progress.
Makhanya joined Rangers from MLS side Philadelphia Union in a permanent £3 million transfer on a four-year deal. While Jacob Raw argues that selling the centre-back in January would be a poor decision despite the massive potential windfall, he suggests the club could instead look to move on players such as John Souttar.
