Birmingham City will have hoped to welcome back Paik Seung-ho for their clash against Preston North End.

Birmingham City manager Chris Davies has confirmed that midfielder Paik Seung-ho will miss upcoming Championship matches against Preston North End and Queens Park Rangers. The South Korea international suffered an injury while on national duty during the recent international break. Davies stated that the midfielder remains unavailable for the next two fixtures, after which the club will evaluate his condition.
Despite Paik's absence, Birmingham City have received a boost with midfielders Max Bird and Taylor Gardner-Hickman returning to fitness. Tomoki Iwata and Jhon Solis have also featured regularly in midfield this season. Birmingham City face bottom-of-the-table Preston North End at St. Andrew's seeking their first home league victory of the campaign.
