Manchester City's superb performance against Liverpool caused Gary Neville to make a drastic Sky Sports request

Gary Neville asked Sky Sports to remove him from covering Manchester City games for the next few months until verdicts regarding the club's legal proceedings are settled. Neville made the comments following City's 3-0 victory against Liverpool at Anfield, citing the ongoing cloud surrounding the club's charges as reason it is difficult to offer purely sporting praise.
Manchester City secured the win with goals from Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku, and Rayan Cherki, following a red card for Ryan Gravenberch. Both Neville and fellow pundit Jamie Carragher stressed that City's players, staff, and supporters are blameless regarding the ongoing off-pitch legal situation.
