'It is expected that there will be increased pressure on the road network around the stadium'

Stoke City has issued strong travel advice urging supporters to arrive early for their match against Middlesbrough at the bet365 Stadium. The warning comes due to expected traffic congestion caused by ongoing infrastructure repairs and roadworks around the venue. An off-slip lane closure at the A50 Trentham Lakes junction will remain in place for at least three months while replacement parts are manufactured following a crash in September.
To manage disruptions, Stoke City and traffic provider CSP will monitor conditions and make live adjustments. Shuttle buses will begin running around 6:15 p.m., though officials warn that later services face potential delays. Drivers aiming for the Nuffield car park will be directed away if capacity is reached, and supporters are asked to use both open lanes approaching the Lexus roundabout to ease bottlenecks.
