The Tampa Bay Lightning have made their first roster recall of the season by calling up goaltender Mads Sogaard from the Syracuse Crunch. Sogaard joined the team for morning skate ahead of their Tuesday matchup against the New York Rangers. The 25-year-old Danish netminder has recorded a 1.73 GAA and a .937 save percentage across three games with Syracuse this season.

Signed as a free agent during the summer, Sogaard previously appeared in 31 NHL games for the Ottawa Senators. While there is no immediate indication of an illness or injury affecting Andrei Vasilevskiy or Dennis Hildeby, reporter Eduardo Encina expects Vasilevskiy will still start Tuesday's game.
