Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has undergone successful laser eye surgery following a difficult 2026 season. The procedure was performed by Dr. Gabriel Lazcano at the Laser Eye Center of Miami, who confirmed on social media that Guerrero was doing well during his post-operative visit.
The surgery comes after Guerrero struggled significantly at the plate, hitting .260 with just nine home runs and a .688 OPS. Toronto finished fifth in the AL East with a 79-83 record, while Guerrero entered the first season of a 14-year, $500 million contract extension.
