St Helens have announced that assistant coach Lee Briers has left the Super League club by mutual agreement. The departure was made to allow Briers to explore a new opportunity, which is expected to be a coaching role in the NRL ahead of the upcoming season.
Briers is reportedly expected to join the Perth Bears coaching staff under Mal Meninga for their inaugural campaign. His exit comes as St Helens prepare for the arrival of incoming head coach Kevin Walters, while fellow assistant coach Eamon O'Carroll has also left to pursue rugby union coaching.
