Jordan Brown of Swinton Lions will miss the first eight games of the 2027 season after the Rugby Football League confirmed the biggest ban of the 2026 campaign. Brown has been hit with a monster eight-match ban for his role…

Swinton Lions player Jordan Brown has been handed an eight-match suspension by the Rugby Football League, marking the biggest ban of the 2026 rugby league campaign. The punishment follows an incident during the 78th minute of Swinton's 66-18 defeat against the London Broncos in September, which saw both Brown and London's Will Jones sent off for their roles in a brawl.
Brown initially received a three-match ban for a Grade E punching charge, but the offense was upgraded to Grade F prior to an Operational Rules Tribunal. Under RFL rules, Brown can serve up to two games of the suspension in pre-season friendlies, leaving him to miss at least six regular-season fixtures in 2027.
