Sacramento Kings center Dylan Cardwell will be sidelined for at least two weeks due to a left calf strain. The injury diagnosis came following an MRI, ensuring Cardwell will miss the start of the regular season, including Sacramento's October 21 opener against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Cardwell's absence leaves the Kings thin at center, especially with Maxime Raynaud also expected to miss two weeks with a patellar injury. Sacramento's remaining depth options behind starter Domantas Sabonis include Precious Achiuwa and two-way player Jonathan Mogbo.
