Scotland twice came from behind to beat Czechia 3-2 at St Mirren’s Marbill Coaches Stadium
Scotland secured a 3-2 victory over Czechia to advance to a play-off final with a 5-2 aggregate scoreline in front of 6,321 fans at The Marbill Coaches Stadium. Despite losing captain Caroline Weir to an injury in the warm-up and falling behind to an early strike from Denisa Vesela, Scotland equalised through Lauren Davidson. Klara Cahynova put Czechia ahead again before Kathleen McGovern and Christy Grimshaw scored to ensure Scotland's victory.
Manager Melissa Andreatta praised the resilience of her squad, highlighting contributions from substitutes including Erin Cuthbert, whose cross led to Grimshaw's match-sealing goal. Scotland will now take on Sweden next month in the play-off final.
