Tampa Bay gets another opportunity to strengthen its receiving depth as Sills works toward returning from a hamstring injury.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have officially opened the 21-day practice window for veteran wide receiver David Sills V. Sills has been sidelined since late August with a hamstring injury, which caused him to miss time in training camp and Tampa Bay's first five games of the 2026 season. He is eligible to return to the practice field starting Wednesday.
Tampa Bay now has three weeks to evaluate Sills and decide whether to activate him to the 53-man active roster or keep him on injured reserve for the rest of the year. His potential return provides important depth to a receiving corps currently missing Jalen McMillan, who was placed on injured reserve on September 30 due to a knee injury.
