49ers coach Kyle Shanahan reveals how Dre Greenlaw's aggressive play and intensity have energized the defense and inspired teammates to raise their game.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan explained how the return of linebacker Dre Greenlaw has significantly energized the team's defense and improved team meetings. Speaking with Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, Shanahan noted that he uses film clips of Greenlaw's high-effort play during Saturday-night meetings to illustrate the standard of physicality required to win.
Greenlaw reunited with linebacker Fred Warner in San Francisco after spending one season with the Denver Broncos. His impact was demonstrated in a 24-14 Week 4 victory over Denver, where Greenlaw led the defense with 12 tackles. Shanahan emphasized that the coaching staff does not ask him to tone down his aggressive style, provided he plays within the rules.
