India's selection committee is delaying the announcement of the ODI and Test squads for the upcoming tour of New Zealand to assess the fitness of key players. Bowlers Prasidh Krishna and Harshit Rana, alongside wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, are currently undergoing rehabilitation under cautious monitoring at the Centre of Excellence.
Krishna was pulled out of an ODI against the West Indies on September 30 due to hamstring discomfort, while Pant is managing a side strain from the Irani Cup. Both players were given three-week recovery timelines, and Rana remains a priority option to fill the seam-bowling allrounder spot.
