The Story in 60 Seconds

Tiger Woods sparked speculation of a competitive return after being filmed hitting balls and hosting clinics at Monterey Peninsula Country Club. The 15-time major champion was participating in events including the TW Invitational and TGR Jr Invitational, marking one of his few public golf appearances since a March DUI car crash.

Woods has not played competitively since the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon. In September, he pleaded no contest to charges resulting from the collision, which led to a five-year driving ban and followed several months spent in a Swiss rehabilitation facility.
