The Story in 60 Seconds

A newly unsealed recruiting firm's candidate profile of Brian Flores contains racial stereotypes and constitutes unlawful retaliation, according to the coach's attorneys. The Korn Ferry report, prepared during the Las Vegas Raiders' 2024 head coaching search, listed several strengths and weaknesses for Flores, who is currently the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings. Attorney Michael J. Willemin argued that the document proves ongoing discrimination and retaliation stemming from Flores' 2022 lawsuit against the NFL.

The unsealed assessment cited Flores being a polished presenter despite his upbringing in Brownsville, Brooklyn, as a positive trait. However, listed negatives claimed he lacked people skills, behaved erratically, and referenced critical comments from former Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The report also warned that Flores' ongoing racial discrimination lawsuit against the league could act as a distraction.
