Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are projected to generate £26 million in gate receipts for their December 11 heavyweight bout at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. UFC boss Dana White, who is promoting the event, revealed the projection to Sky Sports. The fight sold out in under an hour, with more than 500,000 fans joining the online queue despite ticket prices reaching over £13,000.
The £26 million figure ranks as the fourth-highest gate in boxing history, trailing Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao (£55m), Mayweather vs Conor McGregor (£42m), and Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford (£36m). However, it sets a new record for British boxing, surpassing Joshua vs Daniel Dubois (£14m) and Fury vs Dillian Whyte (£12m).
