Charlie McAvoy scored in his return from suspension as the Boston Bruins defeated the San Jose Sharks 6-3 on Tuesday night at SAP Center. The victory marked Boston's third consecutive win and ended a three-game losing skid against San Jose. Fraser Minten scored twice for the Bruins, while Matt Poitras, Pavel Zacha, and Will Borgen also contributed goals, supported by Jeremy Swayman's 35 saves on 38 shots.
San Jose kept the contest competitive through goals from Jacob Trouba, Ivar Stenberg, and Macklin Celebrini. The physical matchup also featured a fight between Boston's Nikita Zadorov and San Jose's Darnell Nurse in the third period. Minten restored a two-goal lead late in regulation before Borgen sealed the win with a 167-foot empty-net tally as Boston opened its four-game road trip.
