After Manchester United's 2-0 defeat by Atletico Madrid, Lisandro Martinez had some choice words concerning the club, and pointed fingers upstairs at the hierarchy
Jeremy Cross writes that Lisandro Martinez was justified in openly criticising Manchester United's hierarchy following a 2-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid. Cross argues that the defender's public remarks reflect the club's ongoing malaise, supporting Martinez's apparent frustration with co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and club leadership over recruitment failures.
The writer notes that United have won just two of their first nine games across all competitions this season. Cross argues that years of mismanagement have left the squad poorly balanced, leaving United with only one recognised left back in Luke Shaw alongside a single recognised striker.
